So many ideas but it's really hard to get them down on paper... or type in the computer I should say...
sigh...
I wish I could take some time off and really concentrate on writing...
Oh, and The Harrowing is slightly disappointing... I thought it would be slightly nice... the atmospheric vibe had been okay so far... soon as the words 'ouija board' was mentioned, it turned me off completely...

Blind Fall
Christopher Rice is one of my fave authors. His first book was called A Density of Souls.

I loved it. The narrative was great and the subplots were all perfectly intertwined.

His second book, The Snow Garden, was also cleverly written. Needless to say I loved it and idolized Christopher Rice.

However, the third book, Light Before Day, was not as good as the previous two. It was somehow a bit messy and not as seamlessly woven. But I did still enjoy it though.
His latest, Blind Fall, was out in the market since last year but I only found out last week. I tracked it down to Kinokuniya in KLCC and luck was on my side. The only copy was reserved for me. Braving KL traffic in Ramadan, I went to KLCC and got me the book.
Finished reading it at home town, in between Raya-ing and cooking in the kitchen. I enjoyed it but it was not as stellar as the first two, although better than Light Before Day.
Let's hope Christopher Rice writes about something else other than the Marines in the next book coz I ain't liking the two with marines in it...

Idea Baru
I went home to see family last weekend. I arrived very late. Around 2.30am or so. I had already alerted my family of my arrival and messaged my brother way before I arrived at the bus station.
But I was waiting for him for more than 15 minutes and yet he never turned up.
Then, there was this cab driver... walked up to me and talked to me. Of course, I had my Ipod plugged in and did not hear him. But I got the gist of what he was asking me.
"Do you have a ride home?"
I nodded and off he went. Man, that was creepy. Coz he walked right up to me, in my breathing space and stood in my face and asked me that.
After a while of waiting for my brother, along with some choice cuss words, I kinda decided that I might as well just go with the cab driver but the creepiness of that situation was still abound so I did not dare to.
Then, it got me thinking. What if I actually got into that cab and disappeared forever? Kidnapped... or murdered...
The cogwheels of the brain has turned... and I had all weekend long to stew with the idea... yes, yes, I have many ideas but I dun really do much...
I think I need to take a month off of work and just concentrate on writing...
So, the story would go like this... this kid went home and got kidnapped... friends from KL come over to the town to investigate and stumble upon something bigger... :)

New Story
I have this idea floating around in my head (which btw, is how I write things)...
It's about this one guy. The middle child of the family who happens to be a normal guy while his entire family are supernatural. They have powers and stuff.
And it's set in a world where humans and vampires kinda co-exist, having banded together in fear of demons.
So this guy wants to fit in but he stood out like a sore thumb.
Stuff is swirling in my head right now. As soon as they are more coherent, I'll put it down on paper...
