I've started this project because I am tired of watching Malay horror movies that are basically recycled versions of themselves...
You have one guy + one girl, be it in a relationship or married... plus one or two kids... add an entity that will haunt them... then you make one of the adults as someone who don't believe the supernatural... but will believe after seeing the partner change their skin color or float or have gory makeup on...
Bring in a bomoh or a tok imam, have him fight the entity and banish it... happily ever after...
That's basically all the horror movies lately, just change the setting, and the storylines a bit... and the entity haunting... and you basically have Jangan Pandang Belakang, Congkak, Santau, Jangan Tegur etc...
I wanna see something different... like Rahsia... or even Histeria...
So I am working on a script to make a different kind of horror movie... not that I am really good or anything but I am increasingly getting frustrated at our local horror films... and if no one out there can make it, then maybe I oughta give it a shot... got nothing to lose pun kan?
